Become an eXroid Practitioner
Our training programme
As part of our commitment to providing excellent care of the highest standards, all doctors wanting to become an eXroid practitioner must already be GMC registered with an interest in proctology or coloproctology, usually a colorectal or general surgeon or a gastroenterologist, although other doctors, including gynaecologists, urologists etc may also be considered. They will undergo a regulatory compliant training programme, during which he or she will become proficient in the procedure, as well as demonstrating key competencies such as supporting patients through an enhanced consent procedure, maintaining regulation standards and training in our digital recording system.
We understand that time is a premium, so the 4 stage process can usually be completed within 4-6 weeks to allow for two clinics and for all documentation to be completed alongside the practical training. All our doctors then sign up to a 2 year accreditation renewal as part of their eXroid agreement.
