The aftercare service
All patients receive treatment aftercare guidance, and will all be followed up with an email and phone call 4 weeks after treatment from our patient services team who can talk you through your consultants notes from your appointment as well as discuss your individual progress and changes in symptoms.
This ensures that we are able to answer and respond to any questions or concerns, impart any advice and guidance and get our patients’ feedback on the service and treatment, which is one of the most valuable assets we have.

Follow-up treatments
For over half of our patients, one treatment is all that is needed to be cleared of their haemorrhoids. Larger piles or patients with more than three haemorrhoids may require more than one treatment. The number of treatments you need is unique to each patient but can be dependent upon how many piles you have and how big they are, although even patients with larger piles have been cleared of their haemorrhoids after just one gentle treatment.
Our patient services team can discuss the need for follow-up treatments during your call.
Some common reasons for needing further treatments
For the first time in the study of haemorrhoids, eXroid has been able to help explain why some patients require further treatments, due to our unique patient pathway, meaning we are able to document changes in the haemorrhoids and their symptoms with each treatment.
