New piles treatment clinic opened in Wimbledon

We are pleased to announce the launch of our newest haemorrhoid treatment clinic at the Stratum Clinic Wimbledon, in south-west London.

The clinic opened on the 10th June 2021 with one of our newest recruits Gianlucca Bonanomi, a GMC-registered general-consultant surgeon.

Mr Bonanomi is highly passionate about the treatment “After witnessing the evolution of haemorrhoids treatment over the past 2 decades, I was pleased to learn that a novel non-invasive technology could be applied safely and effectively to the treatment of such a diffused disease. Many patients have avoided traditional surgery and benefited greatly from the treatment, leading me to the adoption of the eXroid electrotherapy treatment in my practice. “

The launch of this clinic is incredibly important, as for many piles sufferers, haemorrhoids can be a debilitating disease and impacts nearly 5 million people in the UK each year. Not many sufferers are aware that there is a treatment for piles that does not involve surgery

This will be our second clinic in the Manchester region to carry out our electrotherapy procedure. We are excited to partner with Ramsay Health Care UK to expand our services in the north-west of England, catering to the increasing demand for the eXroid treatment.

Many choose the eXroid procedure, as a result of its non-surgical nature, which means no time off work is required, which is a barrier for many potential patients.

Those who do not qualify for the treatment on the NHS, but are still in great discomfort and those who face a long waiting list due to the backlog of elective surgeries, can access treatment with eXroid. eXroid wants to help relieve the NHS burden and get as many sufferers treated, so they can be free from piles to enjoy the benefits of the lock-down measures easing.

We pride ourselves on our patient pathway, easing haemorrhoid sufferers’ access to treatment so we are continually working on increasing the number of clinics across the UK. Click here to find your nearest clinic.
