Mr Ussamah
El-khani

Consultant General, Colorectal & Robotic Surgeon

Mr Ussamah El-khani is a UK trained Consultant Colorectal and Robotic Surgeon at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. He graduated from Barts and The London Medical School and went on to complete surgical training across London, including Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust, Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and Imperial NHS Trust. 

His scope of practice includes bowel cancer, emergency and trauma surgery, benign intestinal disease, abdominal wall and hernia, endoscopy, pelvic floor disorders and common anal disorders such as haemorrhoids, fissures and fistula. 

He has a very patient and calming consultation and bedside manner which allows him to better understand the impact of common proctological conditions on his patient’s personal and professional lives. He is an experienced and keen provider of the eXroid treatment as it is unique in its ability to treat even very large haemorrhoids in a non-invasive and safe manner with an immediate return to normal activities. 

He has been awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and Fellowship of the European Board of Surgeons. He is a JAG-accredited endoscopist and regularly performs colonoscopy. He has an extensive academic portfolio including a Bachelor of Science in Pathology, a Masters in Surgical Technology and has submitted a PhD thesis in Patient Safety. The strong evidence base for eXroid therapy and the award of NICE approval were essential factors in Mr El-khani’s endorsement of this treatment. He has been involved and quality assurance programs for eXroid both in the UK and internationally.  He has an extensive teaching portfolio and was awarded Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy.  His skills in education allows him to better inform his patients on their conditions and impart appropriate medical advice and recommendations.
