Mr Fraz Ansari is an experienced Consultant Surgeon with an interest in Colorectal Surgery, based in NHS Lanarkshire in Scotland.

He qualified from the King Edward Medical College in Lahore, Pakistan in 1996. He has gained Fellowship of College of Physicians and Surgeons in Pakistan (FCPS) before moving to the United Kingdom where he acquired further surgical experience in General and Colorectal Surgery. He passed intercollegiate FRCS with a colorectal sub-specialty interest.  He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland.  His fellowship experience has been in the area of surgery for Peritoneal Malignancy and HIPEC.

His areas of expertise include Gallstone surgery, hernia, proctology, gastroscopy, colonoscopy and laparoscopic bowel cancer surgery.  He has acquired more than 25 years of experience in General surgery with extensive experience in emergency and elective surgical conditions. He provides treatment for surgical conditions including a variety of hernias, gall bladder operations, and coloproctology procedures including haemorrhoids, anal fistulas, anal fissure etc.

He enjoys teaching and surgical training. He has an interest in research. He has presented and published on a variety of topics in general surgery and colorectal surgery.
