I qualified from University of Ioannina, Greece Medical School in 2010 and undertook a variety of junior surgical training posts in Oxford, London and the Southeast of England. My junior surgical training was in London Deanery, UCL partner hospitals. At this time I completed an MSc in Evidence Based Healthcare at University College London focusing my research in systematic reviews and meta-analysis of surgical treatments.

I undertook my higher surgical training in Kent Surrey and Sussex hospitals with my final year of training in Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton. I became a fellow of the royal college of Surgeons of England in 2021 and completed my surgical training in 2022. I then followed with colorectal fellowships at the St Mark’s National Bowel Hospital in London and Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals in Surrey. I am now a Locum Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon at the Royal Gwent Hospital in Newport Wales.

My main scope of work is treating benign and malignant colorectal conditions. I have significant experience in advanced proctology, inflammatory bowel disease and colorectal cancer. Benign conditions of the anal canal are a significant aspect of my day to day practice and the I have been treating haemorrhoids daily throughout my consultant and trainee career.
